kabul (Pajhwok): Experts say increasing accusationsagainst presidential candidates in absence of evidence particularly on social media should not be trusted.

Accusations against presidential candidates without offering any evidence are a violation of the electoral law. Some people call social media, especially Facebook where such accusations are more often made as, ‘anarchy center’ and ‘house of ignorance’

KABUL (Pajhwok): Independent Election Commission (IEC) commissioner Maulana Abdullah on Tuesday alleged that appointments in the electoral body were being made on ethnic and linguistic lines.


HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): The Independent Election Complaints Commission (IECC)’s regional office in western Herat province on Sunday said it has so far registered only four complaints against presidential candidates.
The presidential election campaign kicked off on July 28 and would continue until September26.
Gul Mohammad Tariq, IECC commissioner for Herat, told a press conference that the four complaints were against President Ashraf Ghani electoral team about misusing authority. He urged citizens to register their complaints about electoral violations.

Addressing a round table here, Tamana said peace was the dream of the people of Afghanistan and the nation was ready to render any sacrifice to achieve this goal.
